German born Eckhart Tolle is an author and mystic whose spirituality is having a worldwide impact.

Eckhart did not attend formal schooling after the age of 13, but pursued a path of personal enlightenment. The spiritual teacher says after suffering and struggling with depression for a long period of time, he experienced a personal transformation in his own life at the age of 29. Today the Vancouver, B.C. based Tolle is taking his message to the world with the help of Oprah.

Tolle has tapped into the age old universal truths pertaining to humility, peace, and purpose. Eckhart however packages it slightly differently and approaches enlightenment in a non-religious manner. That’s a good thing considering how much dead religion dwarfs and diminishes potential anyhow.
